Harris Burdick Story

A tiny voice asked, "Is he the one?"  The other voice said, " How am I supposed to know."  The boy did not look like much, but their father had told them to find this boy and guide him, because he would save the world.  The two beings just sat there ad waited for the boy to wake up and finally he did.

He was curious at first, because no one in the room knew what he would save the world from but he went along with whatever the two beings said.  Eventually they asked him what he was good at, and he answered, "Little light, I'm only good for one thing. And that's for playing the heck out of my saxophone."  The lights where confused, but then it hit them.  This boy was not supposed to save the world from physical danger, he was supposed to save it from musical danger.  The boy was going to be bring back the bee boppin good times of the jazz age, and bring back jazz music as a whole.

The beings did not really know what to think.  Personally neither of them where very big fans of jazz music, but they knew what they had to do. No one said it was going to be easy, but some one had to do it.

  1. Hello there,
Nice job of this piece Riley! I like how you personified the lights and gave them there own unique personality. It helped lighten up your story and added a little humor at the same time. Keep up the good work!

  2. I think the premise is good here and invites more writing. This is a little short as is?
